GRAND RAPIDS< Mich. (WOTV) – Family caregivers give their time, their energy and often their own well-being caring for loved ones. A new AARP study estimates that family caregivers spend nearly $7,000 annually on out-of-pocket costs related to caregiving. It’s even higher among Hispanic/Latino caregivers who spend over $9,000 annually.
To stretch your dollar as a caregiver, find ways to cut expenses! Stick to a budget, and look into veteran benefits you may qualify for to offset these costs.
