elderly woman adult thinking worried

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV) – Isolation is fatal. The older we get the more our world can shrink around us, leaving us lonely and isolated. This can lead to all kinds of health problems. We need people to connect us to our community and to live a healthy, happy life. Here’s how to stay socialized according to AARP:

 Call an elderly friend or neighbor to check in on them.

 Even better, pay them a visit.

 If you’re feeling isolated, check out groups in the community that provide enrichment classes.
