GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV)- A new yoga studio is coming to West Michigan in 2017 and it’s the brain child of WOTV 4 Women’s Wellness expert, Michele Fife and her business partner Gretchen Brockman. “OMG! Yoga” is set to open it’s doors January 2nd in the thriving city of Rockford!
“Our desire is to create a Yoga community for people who may not have tried Yoga yet, and who felt hesitant to give it a try, or who have limited access to a local studio. Our offering is Yoga for the underserved general population of Rockford, Cedar Springs, Kent City and surrounding areas.”
Michele Fife is no stranger to bringing a family owned yoga studio to the community. In 2006 she opened Seva Yoga in East Grand Rapids. At the time there was no Yoga in that area and it was a prime location to build the business.
Gretchen Brockman was one of the first employees at Seva and became the School Administrator in 2010. In 2013 Michele sold the business when she moved to Rockford. She and Gretchen have remained close and jumped at the opportunity to bring Yoga to a the Greater Rockford Area to help people feel healthy, well and happy.
So what can you expect from “OMG! Yoga“?! Start with an INclusive environment for the non-yogi along with group classes, private sessions and private therapeutic sessions for those overcoming an injury or illness.
“We feel that everyone can benefit from a consistent Yoga practice and our intention is to create a space that is welcoming and accommodating to everyone. People tend to think that Yoga is only for the young, the flexible, the fit. That is just not the case for us! We are here to bring the Yoga to the non-Yogis. People leave us feeling more comfortable in their own bodies. And that is the reason we do what we do. It does not matter when you start, only that you do, and it is never too late.”
