Air Zoo honors our veterans
Join them for a weekend of activities designed to recognize our community’s veterans and emergency service personnel this Veteran’s Day Weekend! Activities will include: – Free admission for veterans and emergency service personnel all weekend (limit one adult admission) – 10% off purchases in the Kitty Hawk Café and Fly Buy for veterans and emergency service personnel all weekend – Those We Honor display will be available all weekend, featuring images of local veterans – The Air Zoo will be open late, until 8PM, on Sunday, November 13 The weekend of events will culminate in a silent Moment of Remembrance and luminaria display on Sunday, November 13. Luminarias can be purchased at the Air Zoo for $1. The Air Zoo will be open during regular business hours.

STEMosphere – Grand Rapids Public Museum
November 12 – 9am-4pm
Take part in an interactive expo that highlights the best of today’s innovation and creativity by bringing hands-on, brains-on adventures to communities throughout the country. It’s a free event open to all ages. Free with general admission to the museum. Admission to Whales: Giants of the Deep and the Chaffee Planetarium are additional .
Kwings Game – Friday and Saturday
Friday, November 11 versus Cincinnati – 7pm
Pregame at 5:30pm – The Orphan Kings, a local faith-based band will take the stage in The Valley. At 6:15pm, former Detroit Lions kicker, Jason Hanson, will be providing testimony about how his faith helped shape his career. Hanson will be available for photos and autographs throughout the first period and intermission.
Saturday, November 12 – versus Quad City – 7pm
The K-Wings are saluting the troops with free tickets to the first 200 active/retired military members that show their Military ID at the box office. Specialty jerseys worn by the K-Wings will be auctioned off after the game and the proceeds will benefit Talons Out Honor Flight.
