GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Thanksgiving is a time when we all pause to give thanks for what we have. But many parents want to expand the message and teach children that it’s important to give back to the community. From toddler age to teenagers, here are some ideas to get kids involved in volunteering.

Naturally Educational focuses on Giving Tuesday, designated for the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. She has ideas as simple as singing songs all the way up to hosting a food drive.

Kid World Citizen has 35 great ideas for service projects where kids can help the elderly, work with younger children, or help the environment.
