Going Batty for Michigan Bats! at Calvin Ecosystem Preserve
Echolocation, efficient flyers, and the ability to eat 500 insects in an hour – bats are amazing and beneficial! Play batty games, watch cool vdeos and take a hike to discover more about these nocturnal creatures. One of our favorite naturalists, Miss Nancy, will be leading this program. Appropriate for families with children aged 3 and older.First Saturday programs at the preserve are led by environmental educators. Programs are free; registration is not required. Programs begin in the Bunker Interpretive Center; go to our website for directions and parking information. Programs take place both indoors and outside, so please dress for the weather and walking the trails.

Visitors can explore the making of the animated Peanuts classic, see more than 50 Peanuts themed novelties and enjoy a Santa letter writing station and photo opportunity for the entire family!
Relive this Peanuts classic! Explore the making of the animated Peanuts classic and celebrate the anticipation, joy and pitfalls of the holiday season only at the GRPM.
Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown is made up of high-quality digital reproductions of Charles M. Schulz’s original Peanuts strips with thematic graphics and features 3D Peanuts novelties. Kids can write to Santa at the interactive letter writing station, and the whole family can take a photo with the iconic Snoopy’s Doghouse outside the exhibit! Visitors see a behind the scenes look at the making of the animated classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Visitors will enjoy 50 Peanuts daily and Sunday comic strips, more than 50 vintage Peanuts-themed seasonal novelties, and a video featuring Charles Schulz, producer Lee Mendelson and animator/director Bill Melendez that details the sometimes magical and often madcap making of A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Admission for Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! is included with general admission to the GRPM and is free to Museum members.
