Steamy salsas and tempting tangos: Latin Night on DWTS

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV) – If you are still wiping your eyes from last week’s ‘Most Memorable Year’, this week’s DWTS definitely switched gears. It was Latin Night, ole! The dance floor was hot, hot, and smoking hot! The couples tango’d, cha cha’d, and samba’d their way to high scores and big cheers.

There were a few lows, but a lot of highs! Latin Night is always fun, face paced, and super entertaining. Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko brought in the only perfect score for their Argentine Tango to “Hands to Myself” by Selena Gomez. Before their performance, Jana and Gleb were put into jeopardy so they danced their heart out.

James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess performed a beautiful Rumba to “Need the Sun to Break” by James Bay. You can tell these two are in it to win it while they perform a dance so steamy, even Pitbull pulls off his glasses! Whew! Julianne Hough said she would like more chemistry from the two of them (what? how?), but then followed that by saying James is the best male celebrity that has ever been on DWTS.

Other notable performances were Laurie Hernandez and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, scoring a 37/40 for their Salsa performance and Calvin Johnson Jr. and Lindsay Arnold also scoring 37/40 for their Argentine tango.

After all that Latin steam, one couple had to leave. The three in jeopardy were: Amber and Maks, Jana and Gleb, and Calvin and Lindsay. After the amazing Argentine tangos by Jana and Calvin, that left Amber and Maks eliminated. Don’t get too sad though, next week Len Goodman returns to judges panel next week. Don’t miss a minute of the excitement!
