GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV) – Innovated learning in Ottawa Area Schools is taking education to the next level. Grand Haven Christian Schools’ 4th grade class introduces Maranda to ‘Maker Monday’. This challenge offers hands-on, creative opportunities focused on 21st century learning goals. During this 90-minute activity, students are expected to collaborate ideas, think critically and innovative.

Dawn Rotman, 4th grade teacher, inspires students to follow the ‘Maker Movement’ philosophy by encouraging students to fail forward. This allows children to think outside of the box and be faced with real-world, real-life problem solving. This collaborative activity expands students’ excitement and gets them career and college ready.

These fourth graders are preparing for the workplace of tomorrow. Join the Maker Movement and make an impact in your school!
