GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) – Like Ed Robinette said himself, “Fall is here.”
We polled our viewers on who has the best cider and donuts in West Michigan, and Robinette’s Apple Haus and Winery won by a landslide! I headed there to find out what all the buzz was about.
Established in 1911, Robinette’s has been a West Michigan staple for over 100 years.
As you can see by the look on my face, this cider is alllll the good things. Since 1971 Robinette’s has been making fresh cider, straight from their very own apples! You can taste the difference. Trust me.
…and yes, that is a Robinette’s hat I’m sporting.
Let me tell you what. I was anything but a lady when handed that hot cinnamon sugar donut. I scarfed that thing down like I hadn’t eaten in two days.
Did you know Robinette’s makes 200 dozen donuts an hour? And, they always sell out by the end of the day! Clearly, I’m not the only one digging these sugary sensations. Honestly, I could’ve eaten 3 more, but that just wouldn’t be appropriate at a work outing.
Speaking of inappropriate. I bought wine.
Come on! You would too. Their apple and cranberry wine is to die for. Aside from Robinette’s cider and donuts, they have many other elements that attract West Michiganders to their destination.
Robinette’s is overall a true family place where you can enjoy horse-drawn hayrides pulled by a team of Belgian horses, hike or bike scenic trails, wine taste, pick from their pumpkin patch, enjoy their world-class corn maze, and so much more.
BONUS! It’s also a hot spot for fall photos. I saw at least 10 teenage girls snapping selfies in front of Robinette’s iconic big red apple.
They’re open all year-round, so stop in and enjoy! It’s cider and donut season, and I can assure you you’re not going to find anything better than Robinette’s.
