Engagements, double elimination, and more on DWTS week 4

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) – The Dancing With the Stars competition got even tighter after this season’s first double elimination night.

It was one of the biggest weeks Dancing With the Stars has ever put on, as each couple performed a dance inspired by a Cirque du Soleil show. We witnessed a night of pure magical entertainment while Cirque du Soleil acrobats, aerialists, dancers and fire stick performers performed alongside them.

Although, two performances didn’t shine quite as much as the others.

First on the chopping block was GRAMMY winner Babyface and his partner, Alison Holker. Their tango set to The Beatles’ “Come Together” gave them one of their lowest scores of the season.

The final elimination of the night came down to IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe, singer Jana Kramer and rapper Vanilla Ice.

Though the show was dying for some suspense, it seemed like all of America knew who was going home… Vanilla Ice and his partner, Witney Carson were sent to pack their bags. After weeks of average dance routines, it was bound to happen.

Vanilla Ice, you’re welcome to perform “Ice Ice Baby” on the Dancing With the Stars stage whenever you please.

Surprisingly, the double elimination was not the main highlight of the night. We had a Dancing With the Stars engagement on stage! DWTS professionals, Sasha Farber and Emma Slater are getting hitched. The engagement took place in the middle of the show, when Farber got down on one knee in front of thousands of people.
