GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) – As Rachel Zoe says, “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.”
Who do you want to be this fall?
As the leaves begin to change color, every West Michigan girl is eager to pull out their wool sweaters, quilted scarves, and combat boots.
I had the opportunity to work with some of your favorite local clothing stores, giving you the inside scoop on this season’s fashion trends. Below, is a variety of looks for every event and every mood.
My first stop was The Found Cottage out in Hudsonville. Check out the adorable looks they pulled for me!
This new hidden place is an electric mix of vintage and modern clothing. The overall fall trend from The Found Cottage was oversizing – comfy sweaters, large headbands, and boyfriend-fit dresses. These looks allow you to have some extra cheat days, while still looking totally cute! So, drink that pumpkin spice latte and eat that powdered donut happily – no one will ever notice the food baby forming underneath.
Second stop? jb and me in Grand Rapids. Fall in love with fall in these two versatile outfits!
jb and me is ran by a mother and daughter team that strive to offer a blend of designer fashion, appealing to women of all ages. The charming mix of trendy fashions and comfortable appeal will keep you spellbound for hours… and, you can only find them in West Michigan! Give your lace dress an edgy fall look by layering it with a leather jacket. Add a floppy hat and chunky heels to give your outfit those finishing touches. You guessed it, the fall trend take-aways from jb and me are layering and accessorizing!
Next, I headed over to Anthropologie in Grand Rapids. These beautiful pieces will blow you away.
