GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) A new school year means new experiences and new opportunities. Often that comes with new anxieties. Tiffany Carlson, 20, understands that first-hand.
Carlson attended Mercy College in New York City. As a freshman, it was a tough transition with a lot of anxiety, pressure, and new stresses and responsibilities. She didn’t have many close friends in New York, so she turned to food when she felt stressed. This developed into an eating disorder, and her weight started to fluctuate in an unhealthy way.
Carlson dubbed her eating disorder “Ed” and wrote a powerful blog about the painful experience and her tough transition from high school to college. You can read it here.
