Maranda Park Party season reaches 7 communites and nearly 40,000 people

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV)-  Maranda’s Park Parties traveled to seven communities across the area, including yesterday’s event at Northwestern Middle School in Battle Creek.  A huge crowd of 7,000 kids and families turned out at the final Park Party bringing the season total to an estimated 40,000 participants!

This year Maranda and the Park Party team reached more kids and families than ever.  Seeing the need to bring an afternoon of free fun to families in Flint, Maranda kicked off the season with a special party at Mott Community College.  Then Maranda continued with six parties across West Michigan.

“It’s been a beautiful park party season, what a joy to bring Park Parties to seven deserving communities.  From Flint to Battle Creek and beyond we really were able to connect with families who needed these parties; families facing challenges that needed something to brighten their day.  We love being able to say everything is free, go play, go eat, go have fun!  It’s been a great season and we couldn’t do it without our incredible partners,” Maranda said.

In a partnership with the Michigan Department of Education and area school districts Maranda’s Park Parties were even recognized as the largest summer feeding effort for children in the state of Michigan! Maranda’s generous partners also provided free games, rides, attractions and free food for everyone who attended. This season Maranda and the Park Party crew visited the following locations:
