BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOTV) The 2016 Maranda Park Party season is coming to a close, but there’s still one more afternoon of free food, fun, and prizes! The final Maranda Park Party of the summer will be from noon to 2 p.m. at Northwestern Middle School in Battle Creek. Everyone is invited and everything is free!
With tremendous amount of community support, there will be tons of free resources from Battle Creek organizations. The Battle Creek City Police Department is bringing a huge display, including a robot, K9 unit, and SWAT team gear. Guests can also check out fire hose demonstrations with the Battle Creek Fire Department and a giant tented area full of games, activities, and prizes with Battle Creek Public Schools. Free snacks and treats from Meijer, McDonald’s, Country Fresh, Post, Cheeze Kurls, and Grand Rapids First Church will be available for everyone! Party goers can keep all their free goodies in complimentary Priority Health backpacks.
Once again in working with USDA, Michigan Department of Education and local school districts, free lunch will be served to anyone 18 and under starting at 11:30 a.m., while supplies last. Every Maranda Park Party also includes free activities, games, entertainment and, of course, prizes!
