GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) – Movies in the Park kicks off Friday night in downtown Grand Rapids, starting the fourth annual free movie series at Ah-Nab-Awen Park.
Pre-movie entertainment starts at 7 p.m. The movie will be shown on a 50-foot screen starting at dusk and will also have Spanish subtitles.
The complete movie lineup was announced in May. Upcoming shows include:
- July 8: “A League of Their Own”
- July 22: “The Mask of Zorro”
- August 5: “Edward Scissorhands”
- August 19 double feature: “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and a to-be-determined movie that will be chosen by voters starting June 3
Movies in the Park is a great place to bring your kids, or have your own little date night. Movie-goers should bring their own blanket, chairs, beer, wine and snacks, though there will be food vendors at the park. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
