Free Weekly Runs and Clinics through Gazelle Sports:
Gazelle offers various weekly running groups and clinics. A popular running group is The Dirty Herd Trail Running Group. They meet every Sunday at 6pm at Robinette’s Apple Haus. Take advantage being apart of encouraging group runs led by Gazelle Sports. Another free running group is The Rapid Herd. If you are feeling active and adventurous during your lunch break. Meet Tuesdays at Noon in front of the lobby at the YMCA in Grand Rapids for a group run, and explore around Grand Rapids doing a minimum of 6 miles.
Funky Buddha Yoga Hot House:
Join Funky Buddha every Sunday at 7:30-8:30pm that offers free community classes at Wilcox Park and Centennial Park. If you are winding down from a chaotic weekend and want your upcoming week to be a little more peaceful, then take advantage of this yoga class in a calming, park setting.
Zumba in downtown Grand Rapids:
Get your dancing shoes on and head downtown to take free Zumba classes throughout the summer months. Every Monday starting June 13th-August 29th at 5:30-6:15pm in Rosa Parks Circle, as well as every Thursday starting June 16th-September 1st at 5:30-6:15pm on the Blue Bridge. This aerobic fitness program features movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dancing and music, making it fun and easy to forget you are even exercising.
Funky Buddha SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board):
Come join two free yoga open houses on Stand UP Paddle Boards. Both open houses are run through The Funky Buddha Yoga Hot House and will take place in John Collins Park in East Grand Rapids, on Tuesday June 21st from 5-7pm and Thursday June 23rd at Lake Macatawa from 5-7pm. Try the open houses and get some practice before purchasing a session for SUP. Classes are $30 per session, or purchase 5 for $125.
