Starting Wednesday, June 1
New exhibition explores popular culture’s impact on technology. Large-scale immersive exhibition features hands-on activities and experiences, visits from iconic science fiction characters, and more! Exhibition runs through October 2 and is included with admission.
Festival of the Arts, downtown Grand Rapids

Art by local artists, live music and performances, kids’ activities, and food booths!
Do-Dah Parade, Kalamazoo
Saturday, June 4, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Silly parade starts at the corner of Jasper and Lovell.
Craig’s Cruisers Carnival Night, Berlin Raceway
Saturday, June 4, 3 p.m.
Carnival games, inflatables, and more! All kids 11 and under are free. First 500 receive a free hot dog, first 250 receive a free activity at Craig’s Cruisers. Adult tickets $12. Gates open at 3 p.m., races start at 6:30 p.m.
Civil War Weekend, Michigan Heritage Park, Whitehall
Saturday, June 4 – Sunday, June 5
Authentic Civil War reenactment, drill, children’s activities 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, fashion show of civilian and military apparel. $12 for adults and teens, $10 for seniors (65 and older), $6 for kids 2-12.
