List: Memorial Day parades 2016

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Monday, May 30, 2016 is Memorial Day. Here is a list of Memorial Day parades taking place across West Michigan.

Grand Rapids – 9 a.m.
Procession runs Monroe to Division to Fulton; ceremony follows at Fulton Street Veterans Park.

Jenison – 9 a.m.
Parade travels along Baldwin Street from 20th Avenue to Cottonwood Drive

Saugatuck – 9 a.m.
Parade travels along Butler. Ceremony follows at Memorial Park.

Muskegon – 9 a.m.
Starts at the Social Security Building (340 Morris Ave.), then to Terrace St., then west on Clay Ave. to Hackley Park. Memorial Day salute follows at Frauenthal Theater.

Rockford – 9 a.m.
Begins at the Rockford Community Cabin.

South Haven – 9 a.m.
Begins at Center Street and Michigan Avenue, continues to Phoenix Street to Bailey Avenue, then north on Bailey to Lakeview Cemetery for ceremony around 9:45 a.m. Free sloppy joe lunch at American Legion at 1 p.m.

Grand Haven – 9:30 a.m.
Takes place on Washington Avenue from 6th Street to Harbor Drive and into Waterfront Stadium.

Holland – 9:30 a.m.
Begins at 8th Street and Central Avenue, then east on 8th Street to Lincoln Avenue, south on Lincoln to 16th Street, then east on 16th Street to Pilgrim Cemetery.

Hastings – 9:30 a.m.
Begins on Main Street.

Zeeland – 9:30 a.m.
Starts on Maine Avenue at Centennial Street, west to State Street, south to Central Avenue, and east on Central Avenue to Maple Street. Ceremony follows at Lincoln Street Cemetery.

Hudsonville – 10 a.m.
Memorial Day Service at Veterans Park.

Jamestown – 10 a.m.
Starts at Jamestown Baptist and heads south on 24th Avenue until Riley Street, then west on Riley to Riley Street Middle School. Community event follows at Jamestown Reformed Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lowell – 10 a.m.
Travels along Main Street, north to Monroe Street, ending at Oakwood Cemetery.

Douglas – 10 a.m.
Parade followed by ceremony at Beery Field.

Marshall – 10 a.m.
Parade takes place in downtown Marshall.

Muskegon Lakeside – 10:30 a.m.
Starts at Lakeside Vets Club at Lakeshore and Bourdon, then to McCracken Street to Sisson Street to Lakeside Cemetery for memorial service at noon. Celebration follows at Lakeside Vets Club.

Spring Lake – 10:30 a.m.
Starts at Buchanan and Exchange Streets, east, then south on Lake Avenue. East to River Street, north to Fruitport Road, ending at Spring Lake Township Cemetery for memorial tribute.

White Lake Area – 10:30 a.m.
Parades in Whitehall and Montague conclude with a combined service at Covell Park in Whitehall at 11 a.m.

Walker – Noon
Takes place on Lake Michigan Drive between Lincoln Lawns and St. Clair NW.

Caledonia – Noon
Parade starts at the Caledonia High School football field and goes down Main Street, ending at the Caledonia cemetery.

Wyoming – 7 p.m.
Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Garden.
