GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) The game that had us all glued to our phones is coming to life on the big screen. “Angry Birds” opens in theaters on Friday, May 20. It’s a great movie for kids to watch with their parents because of the familiar characters and entertaining story line. But it also opens the door to talk about anger. Adults will love it too, with voices of A-list actors like Jason Sudeikis and Maya Rudolph. You can see “Angry Birds” at Celebration! Cinema in 2D, 3D, or D-BOX.

Another big movie coming up is “Alice Through the Looking Glass.” This Tim Burton sequel to “Alice in Wonderland” is great for older kids. If you’re not sure if your child is ready, watch the trailers. This film opens Friday, May 27.

Celebration! Cinema wants the movie-going experience to be a positive one for families. If you’re ever uncomfortable with a movie or feel your children aren’t ready for it, stop by the manager’s desk for a refund.
