Meijer LPGA Classic rolls out red carpet for dads

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) The Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give comes to West Michigan over Father’s Day weekend this year. The four-day, 72-hole competition takes place June 14 through 19 at Blythefield Country Club. It features some of the best female golfers in the world and a weekend full of fun, family-friendly activities and programs.

Highlights

  • Meijer LPGA Kids’ Center – an activity center, sponsored by Unilever, features a free Father’s Day card-making station June 15 through 19.
  • Fathers in free – all fathers who attend the tournament with a child on June 19 will receive free admission.
  • Father’s Day Brunch – Celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelsson will host a brunch and culinary demonstration from 10 a.m. to noon on June 19. Tickets are $25 and are available online.

Proceeds from the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give will benefit the Meijer Simply Give program, which helps restock the shelves of food pantries throughout the Midwest. The event has raised $1.3 million so far for Simply Give.
