GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) There’s a special event planned in honor of Autism Awareness Month.
The second annual Bridge Walk is an event by Hope Network to bring together families of children with autism. Hope Network is partnering with the Grand Rapids Public Museum to make the day extra special. The museum will host a free sensory-friendly night for children with autism and their families. Sound, lighting, and activities will be adapted to create a low sensory experience for children.
The Bridge Walk is on Wednesday, April 27 at the Blue Bridge in downtown Grand Rapids. The walk starts at 5 p.m. at the Front Avenue entrance to the Blue Bridge. The museum is open for families until 8 p.m. The first 500 people get free t-shirts. The walk is rain or shine.
