GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Family Futures is a local non-profits organization that’s been in West Michigan since 1985. It works to support children, strengthen families, and shape the community by connecting families with resources and programs in their community.
Connections is a free program that sends developmental screening tools so parents can track their child’s development. It’s free for families in Kent County. Sign up online or by calling Family Futures.
Healthy Start is a program for parents of children three and under. It’s for families who need a little extra help, with a support person going into the home on a regular basis.
Family Futures is shining a light on those making a difference in the lives of children with its annual Service to Children Awards. The event recognizes individuals and groups who help protect children and strengthen families. Maranda will receive the Christine Nelson Professional Award.
