HOLLAND, Mich. (WOTV) – If you’re looking for a small community to start a business, look no further than Holland.
The lakeshore community topped WalletHub’s national list of Best Small Towns to Start a Business.
The personal finance website based its rankings on 15 areas, including the average growth of small businesses, prevalence of investors, office space affordability and corporate taxes.
Holland ranked No. 1 among 1,268 small cities across the country. No other Michigan community cracked the top 20.
Kentwood came in at 51 and Portage took 82nd place.
WalletHub said East Lansing had the shortest average work week among all the cities, at 28 hours.
