GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Nearly 4,000 women hit the pavement in Grand Rapids on April 17 for the fourth annual Gazelle Girl Half Marathon and 5K.
The Gazelle Girl race is all about women. The spirit at the start line is fantastic and there are people all along the course cheering on the participants. The positive energy throughout the event is especially supportive for the many first-time participants.
The race takes on a special meaning for many families. Girls young and old race alongside their mothers and grandmothers, making it a true family event. One mother was there running the 5K in celebration of being cancer free.
