Students lead pledge to end the R-word

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Forest Hills Public School students are embarking on a campaign to support their developmentally or intellectually disabled classmates.

“Spread the Word to End the Word” is a campaign by Project UNIFY, a program of the Special Olympics. It is aimed at promoting inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities in school activities.

General and special education members of Forest Hills Eastern High and Middle School’s Project UNIFY group visited their lunchrooms recently as part of the campaign. Click here to read School News Network’s article about how it’s impacting students.
