GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) It’s a struggle for many families to decide when it is time to move Mom and Dad into a senior community. It’s especially difficult for people in the “sandwich” generation!

Lynn Rocca is a member of that generation. She’s a mother of two who works part time and her husband travels for work. She also helps take care of her parents who are in an assisted living center. Rocca wanted her mother and father to have the best life they could, while still being able to participate in activities and have social experiences. She visited several homes before approaching the subject with her parents, and they decided on MapleCreek, part of Lutheran Social Services of Michigan.
