GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) The Share Your Ears Project with Disney was so successful, Disney already met its goal of $1 million! The project was to honor the 120,000th Disney wish granted through Make-A-Wish.
Some Make-A-Wish kids in West Michigan benefitted from a special trip through Disney. Five-year-old Victoria was born with a heart defect that qualified her for a wish. She and her family took an amazing VIP trip to Disney World. Her mother says it was a wonderful break and Make-A-Wish took care of their every need.
Four-year-old Cambri was diagnosed with leukemia at age two. Make-A-Wish sent her family on a Disney Cruise. Her mother says the trip took all their minds off hospitals and medications and also provided a nice break for their other children.
Disney has been a partner of Make-A-Wish for more than 30 years. Its Share Your Ears campaign donated $5 for every picture posted on social media with the hashtag #shareyourears. You can still show your support by posting a picture with your creative Mickey Mouse-inspired ears and the hashtag.
