GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) – Help to support Flint children affected by the ongoing water crisis. Take part in the “Fish Slap Challenge.” The Gilmore Collection and 97 LAV-FM are coming together to launch the “Fish Slap Challenge” event.

Remember the infamous “Ice Bucket Challenge” This is similar. People are encouraged to post videos to social media with the hashtag #FishSlapChallenge challenge their friends, family, and co-workers while getting slapped across the face with a fish. That person then either accepts the challenge by posting their video getting slapped with a fish and challenging someone else next—or they can pay $25 to the cause.

The social media challenge will be followed by the “Fish Slap Challenge” event at The B.O.B. on March 19 from 4-7 p.m. with Tony Gates and Michelle McKormick from the Tony Gates Morning Show. Fish will be provided with a $10 donation and every participant will receive a 20% off coupon to use for restaurant dining at The B.O.B. that day.

This is a unique way to get involved and help the Flint Water Crisis. To view the videos and get more information, visit thebob.com
