GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) National Day of Unplugging takes place from sundown to sundown, March 4 to March 5. Join the movement to simplify your life for the day by taking a break from your cell phone, tablet, and other electronics.

How it Works

All you have to do is avoid technology. That means no cell phone, tablet, computer, TV, iPod, etc.

What Do I Do?

Unplugging is a great way to do something you may not normally do or don’t normally have time to do. Get creative, explore new things, and enjoy the world around you. Here are a few ideas:

  • Meet a new neighbor
  • Read a book with your child(ren)
  • Cook a homemade meal
  • Take a bubble bath
  • Make a craft
  • Go for a walk

If you’re ready to take the plunge, sign the National Day of Unplugging Pledge. Or pick your own 24 hour period to unplug and enjoy!
