GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum encourages learning through play. One of the lessons recently taught is good oral hygiene, thanks to a fun event called Tooth Time.

The museum works with the West Michigan Dental Foundation and West Michigan District Dental Society to create Tooth Time. It offers a series of exhibits, activities, and crafts to help kids understand the importance of good dental habits. Kids can make a Tooth Fairy necklace, see their teeth up close with a dental camera, learn how much sugar is in food, see dental x-rays, play in a pretend dentist office, and more!

Tooth Time is important to create awareness in children about taking care of their teeth and building good oral health habits for life. It also familiarizes them with dental equipment so they are more comfortable when they visit the dentist.
