Jerri Schmidt is one of the WOTV 4 Women home experts focusing on finances and smart money management. She is VP of Marketing and Business Development for Adventure Credit Union, a local financial institution in our area for 80 years. Jerri will be sharing tips on various aspects of banking, finances, and smart money management.
“I am passionate about financial literacy. It’s so important that people of all ages understand the ins and outs of handling their money and finances, especially in today’s world. There are so many tips we are excited to share.”
Jerri is married to her husband Rick and they have four children and nine grandchildren, with the last two being twins. In her spare time, she enjoys the great Michigan outdoors and visiting some of their family in Colorado.
Jerri is involved in many community activities and is currently on the Board of Ele’s Place Grand Rapids and on the Finance Counsel for St. Mary’s Church. She has been honored to serve in various capacities for the City of Grand Rapids, the credit union industry, and her women’s investment group.
“We are going to share some great tips, all the way from simple account access to financing your dream home. We are very excited about how a little knowledge can empower people to become financially savvy and successful,” she said.
Jerri has worked in the banking and marketing profession for most of her career, focusing on credit unions. But, she didn’t start out that way. In college, she began studying archaeology and worked at the Grand Rapids Public Museum until she changed her major, pursued business, and embarked into the financial world.
