FALL CENTERPIECE

Collect acorns and leaves, anything that looks interesting outside, add some gourds if you’d like.

I had some decorative fake gourds that I added. I used a pretty bowl that otherwise was collecting dust.

Use the acorns as the base, put a flameless LED candle in the center (much safer than the real thing) and place the fall items around it.

Takes just minutes, simple but pretty.

For Christmas I plan to change out the gourds and leaves add pops of color and shimmer with some colorful small ornament balls.

SANTA BOX TREE DECORATION

Cami Rapson Christmas Tree Box

The Santa box was used in place of a tree skirt.  I cut a large box that I had–cutting one side open so I could fit it around the tree. But you could easily use four large pieces of cardboard to form at box.  Ours measured about 2 feet long for each side and about 1 foot tall.

Next, I covered the pieces in red foil wrapping paper.  I purchased a black poster board, and cut 4 inch strips for the belt and placed it in the middle of the red wrapped pieces to look like a belt.  I cut a large square and hollowed it out for the belt buckle and covered it in glitter.  I used hot glue to attach everything.

If you used separate pieces for the box, I would attach them on the inside.  I attached ribbon at each corner to “soften” the edges.  I also hot glued “snow” to the top. The result is adorable, and Santa approved!
