Hands-on activities for children to learn how to get involved with community organizations and how to help others. Regular rates apply.

“The Snowman,” DeVos Performance Hall, Grand Rapids
Saturday, November 21, 3 p.m.
Family storytelling performance by the Grand Rapids Symphony. Based on the children’s book. See website for ticket information.

International Festival of Lights & Battle Creek Christmas Parade, downtown Battle Creek
Saturday, November 21
Kids can take a photo with Santa, enjoy activities with elves, and hear a story from Mrs. Claus at Santa’s Workshop at Kool Family Community Center from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Christmas parade is 5:45 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, November 21, 9 a.m.
Annual Christmas parade presented by the Grand Rapids Jaycees. Broadcasted live on WOOD TV8. Come to the Grand Rapids Public Library after the parade to meet Santa, have hot chocolate, light the tree, and participate in a sing-along. From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., help the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum decorate materials for the Children’s Healing Center.
