MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOTV)-Get ready for glitz and glam on the dance floor. Local personalities and business leaders will step out with style and grace for a great cause! Muskegon’s eighth annual “Dancing with the Local Stars” charity event, with proceeds benefiting local food pantries and food programs, is just around the corner. The Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce (WDCC) again is producing this highly successful event that features local dignitaries, business leaders, and people of interest coupled with local dance professionals, putting on a fabulous show for charity. Four performances are scheduled for Thursday, February 25, Friday, February 26, and two on Saturday, February 27, 2016.
The first seven events enabled WDCC to donate over $519,000 to food pantries and food programs in upper Ottawa, lower Oceana and Muskegon Counties. With the community’s help, more will be given as a result of the February 2016 successful event. Funds will be distributed in the spring following the event.
