Trick or Treat, downtown Holland
Saturday, October 31, 10 a.m. – noon
Children in costume can trick or treat at downtown businesses. Participating merchants will have an orange balloon on the door.
Community Halloween Party, Coopersville Farm Museum
Saturday, October 31, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Free party with games, prizes, costume party, trick or treating, and activities.
Creatures of the Night, Kalamazoo Valley Museum
Saturday, October 31, noon – 4 p.m.
Inspired by the new “In The Dark” traveling exhibit, children can enjoy crafts, a planetarium show, and Spooky Spaceship Adventure. Costumes are encouraged! Admission and all activities are free.
Calvin College Light in the Night, Knollcrest East Apartments, Grand Rapids
Saturday, October 31, 6 – 8 p.m.
The 21st annual Light in the Night is a safe, indoor event where children ages 2 – 12 can dress up and trick or treat. Carnival games in each lobby. Free! Donation of a canned good item is requested to benefit Bethany Christian Services.
Celebration Sunday, Salvation Army Kroc Center, Grand Rapids
Sunday, November 1
Celebrate the Kroc Center’s fifth anniversary. Free pancake breakfast from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. for those attending the church service at 10 a.m. Recreation facility is open from noon to 5 p .m. with sample fitness classes, open swim, bounce houses, toddler play area, arts and crafts, climbing wall, and family art project. Free for ages 11 and under. Day passes for non-members 12 and older are $5.
