Celebrate Chemistry Day at fun, free event

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOTV) National Chemistry Week is October 18 to 24, and Kalamazoo Valley Museum is celebrating with the 29th annual Chemistry Day!

The theme of this year’s Chemistry Day is “Chemistry Colors Our World!” Visitors can participate in demonstrations and experiments to see the science behind glow-in the-dark, magic colored sand, and volcanoes. Other fun activities include seeing fireworks explode in milk, cleaning pennies with hot sauce, and starting a salt crystal garden.

Chemistry day is on Saturday, October 17, from noon to 4 p.m. All hands-on activities are free!
