Make sure your child is getting appropriate amounts of rest between sports activities, especially if they play year-round. Listen to your kids and watch for changes in mood, changes in appetite, or loss of interest in activities.
Before physical activity, make sure kids are hydrated and their muscles are warmed up. Tight muscles are more prone to injury. Make sure they are eating a nutritious, balanced meal to make sure their bodies can function appropriately.
