WALKER, Mich. (WOTV) People with special needs and their families can enjoy a day of fun that’s meant just for them. The fourth annual Special Families Fun Fest takes place Saturday, October 17, at the DeltaPlex.

The event is dedicated to people with special needs, providing amenities and activities that allow them to have fun, no matter their age or ability.

Families can enjoy carnival games for all ability levels, a petting zoo and adaptive bike course, and a full line-up of entertainment like an interactive puppet concert, special needs dance troupe, a mime, and sign language session. The Special Families Fun Fest is low-stress with extra touches like volunteers at exits for safety, a sensory room for regulation, and a quiet room to help everyone enjoy the event.

Admission is $5 per person, which includes ten carnival game tickets and a full day’s worth of entertainment. The event is sponsored by Family Hope Foundation and The DeltaPlex.
