GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) There’s a unique opportunity for kids in the greater Grand Rapids area to learn basketball.

The Grand Rapids Phoenix is a non-profit community organization that teaches basketball as well as life lessons. The group is open to kids in grades third through sixth, and they’re also developing a seventh grade team. The team is affordable for families. Visit their website or Facebook page to learn more.

The Phoenix will be holding tryouts at Catholic Central High School in Grand Rapids on September 13 and September 20. They are from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and are open to kids in grades third through seventh. Tryouts are $10 per child.
