GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Labor Day is a holiday that honors hard-working Americans and there are plenty of ways to help you celebrate with your family! Check out these events across West Michigan:

Grand Crossings Labor Day Bridge Walk, Ah-Nab-Awen Park, Grand Rapids
September 7, 8 – 9:30 a.m.
Walk as many as five miles along the Grand River and downtown Grand Rapids. Wheelchair accessible. Free parking at City lot Area 7 and Scribner lot.

Labor Day BoardWALK and Pancake Breakfast, Holland
September 7, 8 a.m.
Walk begins at Heinz Waterfront Walkway and continues along Kollen Park Boardwalk, ending at Windmill Island Gardens. Transportation provided to bring walkers back to Heinz Waterfront Walkway. Donations for pancake breakfast go to Sal Perez Scholarship Fund.

Labor Day Pancake Breakfast, Margaret Drake Elliott Park, Muskegon
September 7, 8 a.m. – noon
Supports the Muskegon Lions Club. Adults 12 and up are $6, ages 3 to 11 are $3 and under 3 years are free.

17th Annual Labor Day Bridge Walk and Pancake Breakfast, Saugatuck
September 7, 9 a.m.
Walk across the Blue Star Bridge from Douglas to Saugatuck. Pancake breakfast.

Labor Day Community Bridge Walk, Grand Haven
September 7, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Family-friendly 3.5 mile walk starts at the north side of 3rd Street Bridge and ends at Chinook Pier. Free. Chance to win prizes!

Labor Day Truck Parade, Zeeland/Holland
September 7, 9:15 a.m.
See big trucks, eat ice cream, and win giveaways! Parade starts in Zeeland and ends in Holland.

Labor Day Community Walk, Whitehall
September 7, 10 a.m.
Enjoy a walk on the Hart-Montague Bike Trail, starting at the trailhead behind Montague Foods. Free!

West Michigan’s United Labor Day Parade, CIO Hall, Muskegon
September 7, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
All-inclusive community parade 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Post-parade celebration includes pizza, refreshments, cotton candy, face painting, bounce houses, crafts, and more!

West Michigan Labor Fest, Ah-Nab-Awen Park, Grand Rapids
September 7, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Entertainment, kids activities, food vendors, arts and crafts, free admission to the Ford Museum.

9th Annual Community Labor Day Walk, Lakeshore Trail, Muskegon
September 7, 8:30 p.m.
Registration at 8 a.m. 5K run starts at 8:30 a.m. Walk starts at 9:30 a.m. Pre-registration encouraged, but not required.
