How to create a modern and chic office

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV)- This Alectra Cabinetry is crafted with a unique, full-access construction method inspired by European cabinetry.   A sleek, modern interior and high-tech hardware are combined with a complete offering of traditional and contemporary door styles and finishes.

A wide variety of custom options, attractive door styles and artistic, hand-detailed finishes make Alectra Cabinetry by Dura Supreme an especially savvy choice for those that desire the ideal in function and fashion.

This is the Design Statement for this working space: The Dura Supreme Alectra display for our showroom was created to capture “New Grand Rapids”.  The juxtaposition between Mid-Modern Century’s lines, form and seating against 1930’s Hollywood Regency’s color and glitz created the feel of timeless luxe.

Practicality and simplicity were the design drivers for this working display.  Scale, proportion, balance and rhythm are achieved through the use of cabinetry and color scheme.  A 54” tall wall cabinet with stainless steel tambour was selected for its ease of use in these tight quarters.  Blum metal and wood dovetail drawer boxes offer a sampling for customers to compare the differences in construction within one display.  Contrasting panes in zebra ad privacy and visual height by using line, texture and pattern.  The 3” mitered edge Cambria countertop in Newport takes mass and transforms it into a simple stated geometric shape.  Understated high polished chrome pulls grab the light and add a touch of glitz to the display. The Calypso lighting fixture ( adds emphasis through the WOW factor, while creating harmony between the high gloss finish of the cabinetry doors and drawers.  These design elements and principles work together to capture the vibe of “New Grand Rapids” which honors history by keeping the best parts of it and adding life to it, in a new energetic way.
