Celebrity Chef Cookoff helps solve local hunger

Meijer LPGA Celebrity Chef Cookoff

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Celebrity chefs came to West Michigan to participate in a fun event with the Meijer LPGA Classic.

The Celebrity Chef Cookoff took place on July 24 at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Celebrity chef Mario Batali and culinary expert Gail Simmons each prepared an appetizer and main course and interacted with guests throughout the evening. Desserts were provided by local pastry chefs from The Cakabakery, Sweetie-Licious, and Field & Fire.

Proceeds from the Meijer LPGA Classic benefit Simply Give, which received $750,000 for local food pantries.
