See ‘Max’ and support West Michigan dogs

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) “Max” is the story of a military service dog adopted by his owner’s family. It arrives in theaters this weekend, and you can see it while helping a great cause.

Celebration! Cinema is partnering with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary with a special event on Friday, June 26. For $20, you get admission to the movie “Max” and refillable pop and popcorn. There will be special guests including West Michigan K9 officers and Michigan Search and Rescue. $6.50 from each ticket will go to Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary, which helps rehabilitate and find homes for dogs who have no place else to go.

If you can’t make it to Friday’s event, you can still support Mackenzie’s by texting “MAX” to 91999.
