ROCKFORD, Mich. (WOTV) The world’s best female golfers are headed back to West Michigan for the Meijer LPGA Classic. The event is bigger and better this year, with a focus on families and kids. There are events all week for kids, including an expanded Junior Clinic. Kids can play golf with local pros and tour professionals for free. The program is available for three days this year. You can register online. Kids ages 17 and under are free to attend the tournament and enjoy activities at the Kids’ Center.
Organizers are still looking for volunteers for the event. Get a great behind the scenes experience and support a good cause by signing up to volunteer.
The Meijer LPGA Classic is July 21 through 26. The event raises awareness and money for the Meijer Simply Give program, which focuses on restocking shelves of food pantries across the Midwest. The event raised more than $600,000 for the program in 2014.
