WYOMING, Mich. (WOTV) A local church is making a difference in the community by volunteering at area schools. Every summer for the last six years, volunteers from Grand Rapids First Church went into Wyoming Junior High and other local school districts to help clean and renovate the buildings for the next school year. They do everything from cleaning to painting to landscaping. It’s a great way for the church volunteers to get active in the community and serve a significant purpose to the schools. The church pays for all of the supplies and does the work for free. Families bring children along to help out, demonstrating the value of serving their community.
