GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Just in time for the World Cup, there is a big soccer event coming to West Michigan. The International Community Cup is sponsored by Bethany Christian Services. It takes place at Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids June 19 and 20.
The event takes place during World Refugee Weekend. It’s a great chance to celebrate refugees and immigrants and what they bring to our communities.
Families are encouraged to come watch games from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is $5. Children ages 5 and under are free. Saturday is kids day, with activities for no additional cost. There are concessions available for purchase.
