GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Students and teachers from Forest Hills Northern’s robotics class are making a difference in the life of a four-year-old girl.

Maeli was born without her left forearm. Her mother, a teacher at Forest Hills, read a story about a girl who got a prosthetic arm made from a 3D printer. Her mother approached a colleague to get advice on whether it was possible. He presented the project to some students and they took it on.

Maeli says she’s most excited about being able to ride a bike.
