GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Produce for Kids and Meijer will be hosting the annual spring campaign to educate families on the benefits of healthy eating and to raise money for “Jump with Jill,” a music and dance program that transforms health education into live school assemblies.

To help Meijer increase its donation, shoppers are encouraged to add more produce to their grocery carts through June 27. All participating fruit and vegetable suppliers will make a consumption-based donation to “Jump with Jill.”

Shoppers should be on the lookout for the Produce for Kids display, featuring “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” in the produce section of all Meijer stores to pick up a shopping list of participating produce companies along with easy, healthy recipes for their family. The display will direct shoppers to, featuring more than 200 dietitian-approved recipes, meal planning tools, campaign information and healthy tips from real parents.

Superfood Salad
Makes 2 servings

  • 2 cups Earthbound Farm® or Taylor Farm® mixed baby kale, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup Bolthouse Farms® Matchstick carrots
  • ½ cup NatureSweet® Sunbursts™ tomatoes, halved
  • 4 Tbsp. Marzetti White Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing


  1. Combine kale, blueberries, carrots and tomatoes in bowl. Drizzle with dressing.

Banana Split Yogurt Parfaits
Makes 2 servings

  • 1 cup Meijer vanilla Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup caramel dip
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 8 Grower Direct® California cherries, pitted, halved
  • 6 Well-Pict Berries® strawberries, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. mini chocolate chips


  1. Spoon 1/4 yogurt into two glasses, drizzle with 1 Tbsp. caramel dip. Add bananas, strawberries and cherries. Repeat layers.
  2. Top with chocolate chips

Peach Pie Smoothie
Makes 2 servings

  • ¾ cup plain Silk almond milk
  • 2 large California peaches, chilled, sliced
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup Meijer plain lowfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • ¼ tsp. McCormick vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. McCormick cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. McCormick nutmeg
  • ½ cup crushed ice


  1. Combine milk, peaches, oats, yogurt, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and ice in blender. Blend until smooth.
