Grand Rapids, Mich. (WOTV) Kicking off Spring Cleaning! Clean your children’s closets and make some money all under one roof for the largest resale extravaganza in West Michigan. DeVos Place will be hosting the West Michigan’s Mom’s Sale, Saturday, May 2 from 9am – 2pm.
Yes, it is that time of year again; time to clean out the closets and get ready for the Spring season to begin. Many families are finding clothing a child has grown out of, toys that have been forgotten, and maternity wear that will probably never be worn again. Sellers can sell their gently used clothing (infants/boys/girls size 0 – 16), maternity clothing, toys, nursery furniture and anything else that is baby, child, or maternity related. Including shoes, quilts, burp cloths, puzzles, car seats, Lego’s and bedroom Accessories.
“The Large Item Area is a popular part of the event,” says Show Manager Pam Glass. “At the Fall event we had over 300 large items, making it a win-win for those who need and those who want to clear out.”
Top Five Reasons to sell at the Mom’s Sale:
- No cost for advertising – We take care of that
- No rainout – No weather worries or issues
- No strangers in your neighborhood – nor at your home
- No consignment fees – Sellers keep 100%
- No Packing Up – Support a local on-site charity
Sellers may ask themselves, when is the last time I had 5,000 people show up at my garage sale? … and Sellers may pre-shop the sale.
All for a great cause. “This is a win-win for three parties,” says Kohler Expos President, Denise Kolesar. “The Seller is a winner, the buyer is a winner, and Alpha Women’s Center of Grand Rapids is a winner.” “We are pleased to partner with Alpha Women’s Center at this event. Any items that are not sold, the seller has the option of donating to this local center, which assists local families in need. Alpha Women’s Center will be on-hand at the event, assisting where needed and collecting at the end of the sale.” “If you have ever had a sale, you know that donating to a local charity could not be more convenient than it is at this sale. You simply leave it,” explains Pam Glass.
The West Michigan Mom’s Sale was organized back in 2008 by a group of local moms who wanted to help other moms in the area have a better way to sell and shop for their growing kids. The sale is, without a doubt, the best place for bargain shopper mothers.
The Alpha Women’s Center of Grand Rapids is celebrating 30 years of providing compassionate care to women. By coming alongside families facing unplanned pregnancies, Alpha Women’s Center provides hope and assistance through mentoring, support groups, material resources and educational classes. With your help, we can empower families in our community to make generational change.
