Paws, Claws & Corks will help homeless animals in West Michigan

Grand Rapids, Mich., (Mar. 25, 2015) – In the past year, Humane Society of West Michigan (HSWM) found new homes for 2,661 animals.  To continue serving the community and homeless animals, HSWM will host its third annual Paws, Claws & Corks fundraising extravaganza on Monday, March 30, 2015, at 6 p.m. in the Steelcase Ballroom at DeVos Place.

“Paws, Claws & Corks offers a spectacular experience for all who attend,” shares Trudy Ender, Executive Director of HSWM.  “Guests will enjoy fabulous cuisine from the hottest restaurants, tastings of fine wines and micro brews, and incredible auctions. During the live auction, hearts will be tugged by stories of three special animals who faced challenges and ultimately, found their forever homes.”

Because HSWM operates on donations only, funds raised from the event benefits their important mission, promoting humane treatment and responsible care of animals through education, example, placement, and protection.  Funds raised allow continuation of caring for thousands of animals each year, which requires daily care, medical treatment, spay/neuter surgeries, behavior assessments, training, exercise, and enrichment.

Donations from Amway Grand Plaza Hotel Catering; CitySen Lounge; FireRock Grille; FOODesign by Chef Brech; Leo’s; Olive’s Restaurant and Bar; One Trick Pony; Red’s on the River; Reserve Wine & Food; San Chez Bistro; The Catering Company; and Twisted Rooster.

The party doesn’t have to end after the live auctions at DeVos Place.  Join fellow animal lovers at the official after-party, “The Afterglow,” taking place at Eve in The B.O.B. from 9 – 11 p.m. Attendees will receive an item at Paws, Claws & Corks for free admission to The Afterglow. Enjoy a “Puptini” or “Kitty” cocktail at The Afterglow while continuing to support homeless animals,” comments Ender.
